Karel San Juan is a Jesuit priest. He serves as President at Ateneo de Zamboanga University in Western Mindanao, Philippines. Previously he worked as the Executive Director for the Emmaus Center for Psycho-Spiritual Formation, engaged in the psycho-spiritual formation and accompaniment of lay and religious leaders. Fr. San Juan has served as a faculty member for many educational institutions, including the PhD in Leadership Studies Program at Ateneo de Manila University, San Jose Seminary, Center for Ignatian Spirituality, Asian Institute of Management and Training Institute for Managerial Excellence. He has also served as board member and consultant for numerous agencies such as the Jesuit Conference of Asia Pacific, the Land Bank of the Philippines, the United Nations Development Program, and OXFAM (America, Great Britain, Hong Kong).

Fr. San Juan received his Bachelor in Sacred Theology from Loyola School of Theology, Ateneo de Manila University (Quezon City, Philippines). He also holds a Doctorate in Leadership Studies from Gonzaga University (Spokane), a Master’s Degree from Asian Institute of Management (Makati City, Philippines), and a Bachelor of Science from Ateneo de Manila University (Quezon City, Philippines).
