Rev. Juan Manuel Montoya Parra, S.J.

Fr. Parra (“Juma”) is a Colombian Jesuit and currently president of the prestigious Colegio Mayor de San Bartolome, a Jesuit High School in the city of Bogota (second oldest Jesuit school in Latin America , founded in 1604).

Juma joined the Society of Jesus in 1999. He studied Philosophy at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Bogotá. He received his M.Div. from the University of Santa Clara and a master’s degree in education from the University of San Francisco, CA (USF). Juma has an MBA, focused on finance, from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana, Cali.

Since joining the Society of Jesus, he has been involved in the secondary educational apostolate. Previously, he was head of Campus Ministry at Berchmans Jesuit High School in the city of Cali. Prior to that, Principal at San José Jesuit High School in the city of Barranquilla.
