Creation

If a person had the occasion to ask God one question, it might be; “WHY? Why did you create all of this?” Perhaps God’s response would be; “Because I thought it would delight you.” In the end, we can reach no other conclusion for creation. The remarkable, awesome and beautiful universe we are privileged to delight in was God’s deliberate choice — a gratuitous gift by Love to share love. It is all a gift from Love itself. Creation is love made visible. Human beings are the height of God’s creation; persons who can give and receive God’s love. In our loving, we become co-creators with God. Jesus Christ is Love itself poured out in complete humility to be Emmanuel, “God with us.” Love, The Infinite One, The Almighty, The Creator of all has become one of us! Love itself, sharing Love with us creatures made in Love’s Divine image. We are empowered by Love to create in love, other beings who will also be able to love. Love is the source of all creative energy. Let the awesomeness of this truth create wonder in your heart. Ponder its meaning. Give thanks.
 
 

Praise the Lord from the heavens; praise him in the heights.
Praise him, all you his angels; give praise, all you his hosts.
Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all shining stars.
Praise him, highest heavens, you waters above the heavens.

Let them all praise the Lord’s name;
for he commanded and they were created,

Lightning and hail, snow and thick clouds,
storm wind that fulfills his command;

Animals wild and tame, creatures that crawl;
and birds that fly;
Kings of the earth and all peoples, p
rinces and all who govern on earth;
Young men and women too, old and young alike.

Let them all praise the Lord’s name,
for his name alone is exalted,
His majesty above earth and heaven.
