Watson Invited to Humanity 2.0 Forum at Vatican City
SEATTLE, WA. – Father William Watson, S.J., will attend the Humanity 2.0 Forum in Vatican City in May as an invited observer.
Humanity 2.0 seeks to identify impediments to human progress and work collaboratively across sectors to remove them by sourcing and scaling bold and innovative solutions. This year’s forum in Vatican City includes discussions on “building healthier humans” and “ethical transformations.”
“This project seeks to incorporate the faith elements into its goals of a strong, sustainable civilization,” said Fr. Watson, president of Sacred Story Institute and vice president of the Pontifical Oriental Institute. “One’s sacred story will be an integral part of this sort of future of humanity.”
Attending are executives from leading international businesses, humanitarian organizations, universities and environmental groups, as well as Prime Minister Ana Brnabic of the Republic of Serbia and President Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca of the Republic of Malta.
Organizations include Google, SAP, Amazon, Salesforce, IBM, Cisco, The Coca-Cola Company, Forbes Impact, HSBC, Virgin, Harvard Business School, The Wharton School and Oxford University among many others.
