E&W reflections are additional helps for your Sacred Story prayer journey. Reflect on them ahead of your prayer exercises for the week or outside of your fifteen-minute prayer windows during the week.

The Lord is near.
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
make your requests known to God.
Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding
will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.

(Phil 4:6-7)

Sacred Story, among other things, awakens us to our full human nature. God made human nature as a perfect commingling of body and spirit. We are embodied spirits. Sacred Story, faithfully prayed, will open you to the spiritual truth of your human nature. The spiritual world is awake, twenty-four/seven. God wants us to wake up too. For the next five months, we will offer short reflections on each of the five themes of Sacred Story prayer: Creation, Presence, Memory, Mercy and Eternity. We will begin next Sunday. This will help us continue the process of waking from sleep.

Pray for each other. Pray for the Church. Pray for the World.
Give thanks.

Awaken to Creation, Presence, Memory, Mercy and Eternity.
